First Aid and Mental Health Training for Children
The Mini Medics resources are available for any organisation to get started, but we strongly recommend that the person teaching the courses holds an appropriate subject qualification and a teaching/assessing qualification.
The Mini Medics courses are perfect for schools and after school clubs, but they can also be held within your local community over the weekends or during the school holidays. Providing the venue is suitable, sufficient and safe, the courses can be held anywhere, anytime of year.
The Mini Medics courses are non-regulated and there is no formal registration process for you to get started. You can replenish your student resources as and when they are required and order quantity discounts are available across the range of student packs and books.
To teach the courses effectively, you will need to ensure you have the necessary equipment, just like a training course for adults. This includes a laptop or computer, Microsoft PowerPoint application, projector, projector screen, flipchart, paper, pens and administrative documents.
For the Mini Medics First Aid course, you will also need resuscitation manikins, an AED training unit (if applicable) and first aid kits including bandages and cleaning supplies.
